Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan Scheme is yet another example of the state’s sincere concerns for providing support to its citizens in every possible manner. This unique scheme facilitates visits of senior citizens of any religion to religious places of his/her choice on the State Government expenses.


Pilgrim must be over 60 years of age and a domicile of Madhya Pradesh. He must not a taxpayer and should not have taken benefit of Teerth-Darshan Yojna earlier.


In this scheme senior citizens of the state, whose age is 60 years old, is carried out free of charge to any of the pilgrimage places of the country. Travelers are provided with special train, food and drink materials, stop arrangements, where bus travel, guides and other facilities are provided by the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited, contracted with the Madhya Pradesh Government, Religious Trusts & Endowments Department

How To Apply

A senior citizen desirous to avail benefit of Teerth-Darshan Yojna should fill up an application in prescribed proforma in two copies and submit the same at nearest tahsil or sub-tahsil before the prescribed time-limit. Photo and address proof should be affixed to the application. Ration card, Driving license, electricity bill, voters’ identity card or any other evidence recognized by the State Government will be accepted as address proof.
